I made this proposal so that I know what type of code and convections that I would be including in my factual programme. I decided to use infotainment as I think its a great way to mix both information and entertainment in one. My other reason for making this is so that I can see what type of style I'll use in my factual programme and who my target audience will be as I have a target audience I'll be making may informative programme based on a theme that my audience will understand. I also implanted legal and ethical issues I have to consider as its very important I add these so that it promotes safety and quality work and designed to keep people from behaving in a particular way.

I used a location recce as I found it beneficial, using a location recce was helpful as it allowed me to look and assess a suitable location before filming took place. It helped me identify the potential challenges I might face whilst filming and understanding the environment I would be filming in. Using a location recce also helped to see if the location matched the requirements of my factual programme.

Having a shooting schedule is very important as it helps planning and organising the filming process. It will help outline where and when each scene will be filmed and this planning document also helps maintaining accuracy for when I'm going to film. Using a shooting schedule will also help with coordinating the cast and director.

I made this word document so that I have an idea of what primary sources that I'll be using when producing my factual programme, in the document I said how I will be using guests in my programme as I think it will relate with 'come dine with me' and 'Question Time' as both programmes have guests on their shows and also talking heads is seen in both shows as-well so I thought of using those two primary sources. For my secondary sources I wanted to use statistics and Reviews as I thought it would make sense using both of them, as this is about factual programmes and using them is vital as this is usually two sources that you'll find in factual programmes.

Using a risk assessment is important when identifying potential hazards that could on set, so I made this risk assessment of what possible risks could happen and take the time on how to minimalise these hazards, not just for people on set but also the equipment being left unattended.

Using a sound log is crucial as it holds all of the audio I will be using to create my project with. It helps me keep track of what audio I need to import into my video, why I’m using the sound and how many takes I’ll be using of the sound I want to use. Having a sound log is helpful as I can identify what sound is for some scenes in my factual programme.

A shot list is significant as it will give me an idea of what shots I'll be using and gives me visual aspects of my production. This will help me outline specific shots that I will need to film. Having a shot list is beneficial so that I don't go off topic and film the wrong things, this will also maintain accuracy when filming.

Storyboards is another crucial planning document that will help me visually outline the sequence of how my video will look like. This will help me to plan the shots that I'll be using in detail and bring the scenes to life. This will also give my cast a sense of communication of what they need to do in the shot, and particularly useful for complex scenes.

I'll be using a video log sheet to keep track of all of the video footage that I have captured during my production. This will assist me when looking for certain types of footage when I'll edit on premier pro. Additionally, this is also useful for maintaining accuracy and verifying sources especially in factual programming when checking for legal and ethical issues that are important.

Having an equipment booking is good as I will be able to take out certain equipment when used to film. I also needed to ensure that I get the relevant stuff needed to film for example, 750D Cannon battery and charger. I also wanted to equip what other equipment I need to help make my footage look steady and not shake. I also booked how long I'll use the equipment for and when I'll return it.

Having a script is vital as I wanted to have a narrator in my factual programme and by studying the types of factual programme I wanted mine to have a narrator. Using a script will help me ensure that my video will be coherent, and messages conveyed effectively.

Having a production log is vital because it keeps track of what I've done so far when editing my video and the progress during a production. It's basically like a diary of what I've done so far and my target for next time when going back to edit, a production log also helps of what issues may have arisen when editing and a valuable reference for ensuring that the production stays on track.

Here is my logo for my video as I wanted it to look professional and link it to what my factual programme is about as I wanted a detective hat on a fork to show that my video is based about a food quiz competition, I also had to add the name of the factual programme so that audiences won't be confused.
